THE ANATOMY OF A COFFEE CHERRY
Coffee cherry is basically the fruit of a coffee plant. It's made up of skin, flesh, and the coffee bean, which is actually a seed. The coffee cherry typically contains 2 coffee beans inside and if u split this fruit , u will see the coffee beans sitting side by side.
The typical coffee processing method involves removing the cherry skin and flesh, leaving only the coffee bean to be washed, roasted, and brew. The chaff (silver skin) is a final layer of skin that comes off of the bean during the roasting process.
